雅思写作语法学习：物主形容词和物主代词 物主形容词和物主代词 A possessive adjective is an adjective that is used to show ownership. It comes before a noun in the sentence and lets us know to whom the noun belongs. While many cases of ownership are shown with possessive nouns (Karen's, children's), these possessive adjectives are not nouns and are not formed by adding an apostrophe + s. 物主形容词是表示所属关系的一类形容词，在句中出现在名词前，告诉读者这个名词指代的事物属于谁。多数情况下，附属关系和名词所有格一起出现(Karen's, children's)，这些物主形容词不是名词，不能加’s组成。 The following words are possessive adjectives: 下列词语是物主形容词。 my your his her its our their Do not confuse these possessive adjectives with possessive pronouns. A possessive pronoun does show ownership, but it does not come before a noun or in a noun phrase. It stands alone. It can also be used to replace a noun. 不能把这些物主形容词和物主代词混淆。物主代词也表示所属关系，但不会出现在名词或名词短语前，而是独立出现，可以用来代替名词。 Here is a list of the possessive pronouns: 下列词语是物主代词： mine yours his hers its Remember, possessive pronouns are used to replace the noun. Possessive adjectives are used to describe the noun. 物主代词可以代替名词，物主形容词可以修饰名词。 Notice that some forms of the possessive adjective and possessive pronoun are the same (his, its). So, you have to look at how they are used in the sentence. |
